Google Cheating

qball.org makes a brief return to give our thousands of readers some updated information. Ok, ok, we have yet to give anyone updated information on any topic throughout the existence of qball. However, nobody can argue that we do not provide information. Alright, maybe. We do provide random information some of the time. Here is what we consider some type of useful info.

Since Google is the king of internet searching right now, that means looking for a piece of data becomes a chore. More and more info needs to be weeded out the nonsense to reach the sites that may have the data (or pictures) you are looking for. Well, throwing in quotes, or '&' signs help with a few things, but the search was still too broad. That is until we came across the Google "Cheat Sheet". It was the Cheat Sheet that finally helped us eliminate all the ridiculous data (or pictures) from our searches.

The Cheat Sheet for Google is a great little tool we refer to when looking for certain items. During this time of year, it is looking for ideas for all the people looking to buy qball.org Christmas gifts. We expect a lot of packages this year. The searching for those gifts is going quite well. We preferably like the '~' synonym operator. When we look for "car" Google is smart enough to realize we would also settle for a truck, a sports car, or any automobile. Neat stuff.

Now it is just a matter of remembering the useful operators every time we search for a topic. Right now it is a hassle to go back and forth from page to page, but we believe in no time we will be our own Google Cheat Sheet. Then all the data (or pictures) in the world will be at our fingertips!

Hi. My thoughts are not on "google cheating" although I enjoy the Cheat Sheet and will use it for future reference. Rather, it is my confusion on the "Current Holiday - September", located in the top right-hand corner of your webpage. Clearly, we are not in September anymore...hence my confusion. Exactly how long does this holiday last? Am I still supposed to be celebrating the holiday that is your birthday?

I am going to have to agree with "Jen"! September was definitely 3 months ago! I think it should say for example, "Season's greetings! or "Merry xmas", "Happy Chanukah", or "Merry Chrismakuh"...I mean whatever, at least be in the right season!!...Seriously ANYTHING but continuing the celebration of a 9/11 birthday! That is just OOC and WAY outdated!

It sounds like some people haven't heard that the people who have birthdays in September are just so much more important than everyone else, that they must be celebrated all year 'round.

Unless there is some holiday that we are not aware of in December...can't think of any...then the September Birthday celebration stays up.

All I know is J13 is coming up fast. We are getting ready for another amazing J13!
