Sometimes the internet does not provide anything worth reporting or informing our well educated readers here at qball.org. (Probably the Brazilians fault) Thankfully, we were able to come across a DL that can be considered somewhat, barely, worthy enough to mention.

While we were working on another site (less nonsense but not much less) we wanted to find some "famous fonts." For some odd reason, for the artist recognition or licensing rights, getting these common fonts can be quite difficult. The next option is to create a font that is almost a replica of the orginial font. We do not have the time or the patience to do anything that requires creating (also skill is lacking). Therefore, the good ol' internet found Famous Fonts at Sharkshock. Where a talented graphic artist created wonderful working fonts for anyone's use.

There are several categories such as food, autos, cartoons, etc that offer a good variety to DL. There are examples of the font as well as a brief description to what famous font they closely represent (for the ones who also find it hard to know the difference between an apple and an orange!) We are partial to the cartoons section, only because we hope to one day do qball.org completely in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle font and theme.

Granted, there may not be too many uses for these fonts unless one wants to illegally replicate a famous brand and profit from the fake goods. We could see some IM fonts, email stuff, or thesis papers that could take advantage of these fonts without legal implications. It might even spice these up. When you do DL some of these fonts, watch out that some links maybe duplicated of the font next to it. Just get to the root site and find the right name, it is not too difficult to recognize what each file stands for. So go out there and start writing everything in ACDC fonts. Everyone likes lightning between each word.
