Gmail DL works

It is true that the DL section has been intermittent as of late. However, we do not want to provide our readers with possible worms and trojans (unless we somehow are able to advertise on every computer infected). However, this week's useful DL tool is geared for those thousands of gmail users.

While some of our qball.org employees were looking for Google hacks to improve our hit rate without actually increasing the number of readers (our R&D team), we came across a beta Gmail tool. The Gmail Notifier is one of Google's new tools. It basically is a DL that once installed on a user's computer, it notifies them of any new mail arriving at their inbox.

It acts just like MSN Messenger or Microsoft Outlook 2003, where a box in the lower right hand corner (why is it always the right corner?) appears with the notification. In addition, there is a Google icon (the two eyes) that sits by the time in the taskbar, that will indicate if there is new email in your inbox. This icon also allows quick access to your inbox by double clicking. There isn't else to it, that we are aware of (our R&D team is working overtime).

This is a nice simple program, however still beta, that saves a trip to your gmail account. For us, it is a horrible reminder that no one is aware of our gmail account, and/or we have absolutely no friends. Either way, quite depressing. We hope better from our readers.
