I am going to go out on a limb and say that my readers enjoy food. I know that maybe a stretch, but I feel safe on that statement. Therefore, a new addition, although quite a weak one, is a topic on tasty foods. Granted, this "taste" is based on opinion, but I have to say that qball.org is completely based on opinion (some wild ones at that!). However, my opinion should matter to those reading, so I guess I can say EAT IT! And thus the creation of the weekly EAT IT has occurred!
Let's start with a favorite and quite delicious item, the tortilla. This item can be consumed in several delicious ways. Some ideas for you fellas and gals; throw butter on it, wrap those refried beans, honey, peanut butter, and the ever favorite carne asada and rice. Your options are unlimited, all with some flour. Of course you have to buy the correct tortilla. I am not speaking of those crappy ones you find in every store, but there are two that make this versatile food product even a better snack. Costco sells raw tortillas that you throw in a pan just long enough to get that warm tortilla taste. The other tortilla is a local favorite. I am lucky to be near Old Town San Diego, and Old Town Mexican Cafe has the best (hands down) homemade tortillas you will find north of the Mexican border. Come for a visit, stay for the tortillas.
